Wine description
70% Chardonnay, 10% Macabeo, 10% Parellada, 10% Xarel.lo.
87 Parker Punkte.
89 Peñin Punkte.
The Wine Advocate:
Codornius Cava lineup begins with the Non-Vintage Anna Brut. Brioche, baking spices, floral notes, and green apple inform the nose of this just off-dry, smooth-textured, nicely balanced sparkling wine. Drink this very good value over the next 12-18 months.
There are two 800 pound gorillas in Cava, Codorniu and Freixenet. After having tasted in their cellars it appears that this is not a bad thing as the quality level established by these two giant producers keeps everyone else honest.
